Finish high school or get your GED (general education diploma). Most truck driving companies prefer to hire individuals who have graduated from high school (although this is typically not an official requirement). 
 
Instructors will wander over now and then to see how things are going and offer advice. But for the most part it will be students helping out students. This was a popular way of doing things because there wasn't as much stress when instructor weren't constantly watching our every move.

Second option is to join a Truck driving school run by any trucking company. These schools offer you free truck driving courses but they usually make you sign one year contract that you will work for the company. At this duration they will pay a little lower wage as they try and compensate what they spent for your truck driver graduation. The disadvantage of this option is that you get stuck for one year with one trucking company and in case you intend to leave they will charge you what they have spent on your course. The advantage is you have the job security as soon as you complete your lessons and you do not have to pay any upfront fees from your side. 
 
HR Truck Licence Target Audience. Check if your school provides special courses for first-timers, teen-drivers, seniors and drivers with disabilities. Teen-drivers usually require special training approach which is different from training for seniors. If you are a handicapped citizen a car for your driving training might need special equipment as well as instructors skilled in training of that kind of students. 
 
First step is before changing lanes in a truck plan ahead. You do this by knowing whats around you. You are using your mirrors and checking blind spots. If there was a car right behind you and he is not there take a second look at your blind spot because he just might be sitting there next to you. 
 
How long does it take to get certified? Depending on Mr licence , it could take about 90 days. It varies from school to school. In good schools, there is the desk classes and then time on the road.
