While the world was mostly still stalling, the fast life returned to the Netherlands, and for me. Balancing https://laurabay7.edublogs.org/2022/01/25/auto-draft-2/ while fighting with my health, left me little time to update my blog site. Some tasks I invest months on behind the scene, were yet again held off, and brand-new tasks got back at bigger.
Selamat Hari Batik! These passed months I satisfied many of my dreams and started a number of jobs that I want to do for a long period of time currently. So time for a little summary of what I have actually been working on, where to find out more, follow, join etcetera! Pukul terus, much amazing Batik stuff to share, Ayo! Batikworkshops After the very great batikworkshop I gave hosted at the studio of Guave in Januari 2020, all other workshops got cancelled for the rest of 2020 and start of 2021.
Likewise since for making Batik it is pretty unpractical and it should be above all enjoyable. Doing not hesitate to share stories and take a look at each-others developments. So I waited till it enhanced enough in the Netherlands. When artists Pris Roos and Liesbeth Labeur asked me if I wanted to give workshops for the All You Can Art Summerschool at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam, it was the correct time to begin again.
It was a terrific experience remaining in this Art surge that 'All You Can Art' is, mentor once again and being asked a lot of times by visitors of the museum if they could join. Sooo had to state no a lot, hehe, however hopefully in the near future we can invite everybody to participate to find out about Batik.
My batik women of Guave made remarkable costumes for this theatershow, sooo a must-see! Guave welcomed me to teach the cast some more on Batik. In between their rehearsal I provided a brief talk and let them check out using the hot was with a canting onto cotton. It was a quick introduction, but it was so wonderful that they wished to dive into this topic more to make certain the Batik references in their play are done properly.
