  1.  The holiday destinations offering Brits the best value for money in 2018 have been revealed - and it's Argentina and Brazil where the pound goes furthest.
  2.  Currency exchange experts FairFX looked at the countries where the pound has been performing well and where it is expected to continue to do well next year.

  13.  FairFX says that 2018 could be the perfect time to snap up Argentine pesos and head to the country to visit the stunning waterfalls and glaciers as Brit travellers will get £662.24 more for £1,000 exchanged than they did in 2012.
  14.  While another bargain travel destination is Argentina's South American neighbour Brazil, with those heading for a view of Christ the Redeemer seeing their pound going 31 per cent further than in 2012.

  35.  Other places making it on to the exchange expert's list include Papua New Guinea, which it says is more affordable than ever with the pound going 28 per cent further than in 2012.

  51.  If Brits prefer to stay closer to home, FairFX say Brits could head to Norway, where FairFX says that&nbsp;the pound is up 24 per cent compared to the krone over five years&nbsp;

  53.  The research comes as FairFX also found that this year, the pound has also been faring well against currencies in Nicargaua and Costa Rica.
  54.  Outside of South America, several Asian destinations now also offer travellers significantly better value than this time last year, with Sri Lanka, Laos, Indonesia and Hong Kong all making the top 10.

  56.  'However, if Brexit negotiations impact on sterling creating another rocky year, travellers may have to look further afield at destinations where countries have performed better in the long run, taking the opportunity to capitalise on currency improvements to test out long-haul and off-the-beaten track destinations.'
