  1.  @jeremyhodgkins7005  you don't think so and you don't have to because at the end of the day hey, your opinion doesn't matter. to criticize someone for doing something with an open mind and to accuse someone for doing something whilst rejecting their reasons just goes on to show how ""Ignorant"" you are, with a quadruple quote. also, comparing things from 1400 years ago and now and basing your side with "oh she must be 18!!" even though this "rule" didn't even exist back then just goes on to show how inconsiderate and inconsistent you are with history and time. I'll tell it to you once again, people back then even from before the time of the Prophet Muhammed peace and blessings of Allah be upon him used to marry at a young age. Why? numerous reasons. one of the biggest is that the life expectancy was low. unlike today's 60-70 lifespan expectance, theirs was lower therefore marriage at an early age made sense. another reason is that not everyone grows up the same way. Aisha peace be upon her went through her puberty at the age of 8 to 9, to which, whoever hits puberty at any time, is not deemed a child anymore by common law and traditions. furthermore, people were getting married around that time just some decades ago (9-14 in Europe, Asia, and Africa and even 10 in USA) so I don't know what you're trying to say here. name me one historian who thought that marriage at that age was bad. you won't because none objected funnily enough. also just a side note, even if you decide after all that to deny and refuse again, just know that Aisha was a smart woman. so much that people used to consult her with their issues and such because she was a smart and intelligent person even at that age. one last note; that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) grew up in the Arabian peninsula which is a hot country and normally in hot countries adolescence comes early and people marry early. This is how the people of Arabia were until recently. also women vary greatly in their development and their physical readiness for marriage so that basically explains it. honestly I don't know what's with people not doing research nowadays even though knowledge is everywhere. don't compare Islam to stuff like Christianity and Judaism where they marry people at the age of 3. seriously just approach stuff with an open mind if you want to learn. that simple. may Allah guide you.
