6. because frankly, multiple people pm'd me today in the guild when the tear went to Kenny. Additionally, there has notoriously been sloppy deicions been made for casters since Classic (mostly before Kenny and filth were appointed CL).

8. Now to the topic of giving first tear to a mage, and that mage being Kenny.

10. Linked here is an average mage setup including gear that is easily accessible through a few weeks of ZG resets, or gear that most of our mages already own. Such as a ring of spellpower as an example.
11. As you can see, this mage is not that incredibly geared. It is not using ZG ring 2 set. It does not have band of forced concentration, hit bracers, or tear. Yet, with talents, even this mage is hit capped.
12. Both the ZG gloves and ZG ring in this setup is comparable to what our mages are using now since netherwind gloves are comparable stats and mages have not yet seen a band of forced concentration .

17. Giving a mage a tear allows them to drop hit rating in other places, but that is essentially saying that you are commiting them to even more loot drops when this setup is already quite good and that does
18. not even include their other trinkets. Toep and MQG. Which needs 35 seconds to use completely (along with AP and PI). I know you want to wait for 5 stacks of WC before popping it, but warlocks have to wait for weaving too, so im going to neglect that for now

20. Our average boss kill time was 54.5 seconds. Chrommagus and Nefarian skew this statistic drastically, but even when looking at each individual kill time, Both trinkets could be used within
21. the kill window for 6/8 bosses. Yes, for the bosses that closer to the 35 second window you wont get the absolute most out of your trinkets since WC is not fully stacked, but you are still doing

24. Linked here is an average warlock setup that can be acquired within a few week time window of doing ZG along with gear that most of our warlocks in raid 1 have. Such as ebony gloves which 3/4 of us already have,
25. t2 belt that we have, etc. In this setup we have about as much hit as we can get without gimping ourselves and sacrificing damage, in which we end up at 13% hit (it would not let me apply mage enchants in this outfitter).
26. That seems like a lot, and is. However, moving forward and getting closer to bis, you would lose hit rating depending on the items you recieve. Having both BWL rings would make you lose 2% hit.
27. Getting a mish would make you sacrifice 1% hit. Thus, unluck mages, we would always need tear and even with it, it does not allow us to reach hit cap. Additionally, it does not force us into recieving
28. more loot to "drop hit in some slots" like a mage would.

33. As for Kenny recieving the tear in particular. I don't have any big issues with kenny at all. However, I would not say that he is the mage that is our top performer either (although he does perform well).
34. Looking at the most recent BWL to see which items kenny used;

36. You can see that he wore 6 piece pvp set. Did not swap away from it. I could understand using this for Tech tanking since you are much more beefy,
37. but the system did not detect any other gear swaps for these items and wearing this against bosses is not optimal. Speaking of boss performance,
38. of course, Kenny is never playing poorly and is usually top 3 mage, but Weasel for example can keep up with the rank 14 casters on bosses and trash even though he does not have r13 helm or r14 weapon.
39. So, I don't believe the reasoning that simply "he got it because he is r14" or that he is the "best" adds validty towards the choice of giving him tear in specific if that were the case.
40. Other possible reasons i could see a mage getting a tear before a warlock (let alone the FIRST tear) is that
41. A)The mage player FAR outplays all of the warlocks. In which, that is not the case. Our warlocks are good.
42. B)The warlocks FAR outgear the mages, and mages need loot. In which, that is not the case.
43. On the topic of loot, it is not that Kenny has really been too starved from loot since launch either. (these links are from gear acquired from the prior week, or gear equipped that raid)

53. I believe also recieved Robe of Volatile power as most of the mages did, but did not wear it because they wore archmage. This does not say that he was funneled loot over EVERYONE,
54. but what it does say is that he certainly was not dry on any loot.

60. Who should have gone to today then? Fensi. Fensi is active in the guild, participates in world boss kills, consistently performs well, and has not recieved any big items "first". Not once since
61. he has joined the guild. Even today, he is one of the least geared warlocks when it comes to raid loot.

64. PS: This took quite some time to write. I could have just said "fuck it" and just let it go. Which i would have liked. However, this needed to be brought up. Things about caster
65. organization so far in the guild has needed to be brought up for some time now since there are people getting upset somewhat regularly and not just me.
