8. Here's what I do recently. I use Chrome browser, Firefox or Safari to open the inspect tab. Click on the right-click icon. yt download yt download Call the inspect page. Then switch to network and look for the video playback file. It will typically be something that has the extension m3u8 in the list of files. Other times it may be a different extension. However the characters you see are visible and will be a fragment playlist for your video. The procedure is that your video stream splits into several small files. Your internet browser then downloads them one by one and plays them in order. It is a smooth process that requires more transfer to complete than the file's size. This is the way the MPEG stream is set up and we shouldn't be complaining.

12. After that, I right-click on the playlist file and copy its URL (into the clipboard) after which I go to the website to download videos online. After entering the playlist URL, I click the submit button. Within a few seconds, I see several download options. Each option indicates the possible final file size, transfer time as well as other information. The higher quality file is more extensive it will become.
