  1. TRL requires video evidence to support any claims of rule breaks or infractions.
  2. ---------------------
  3. Bullying, harassment, racism, sexism, ableism, or anything derogatory that may fall under those will NOT be tolerated in any capacity and will lead to an immediate permanent ban.
  4.
  5. Disrespect will not be tolerated towards staff or other players. Follow the golden rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
  6.
  7. Avoid excessive use of caps lock.
  8.
  9. No spamming – this includes but not limited to spamming calls, repeatedly asking for births, randomly inviting people to births without them asking for them and spamming group invites.
  10.
  11. Do not tag staff in Discord. If you need help, please open a ticket and someone will get to you as quickly as possible.
  12.
  13. Do not beg for currency. We do not refund animals or currency for player error.
  14.
  15. No trolling or humping. This is including but not limited to picking up cubs and breaking their legs on purpose with the intent on leaving them like that. You can not use the 5 call for male lions to hump other players, you can also not use the 5 call on leopards to put you butt in other players faces.
  16.
  17. You may not name drop other players for suspected rule breaks in global chat. Admins and players may ask other players to stop randomly inviting them to a group or a birth by name so that the player may be made aware.
  18.
  19. Please keep issues out of global chat. If there is a rule break, report it.
  20.
  21. Please keep language to a PG-13 level in Global. You are allowed to curse, but not directly at anyone.
  22.
  23. Please do not promote other discords or game servers without explicit permission.
  24.
  25. Do not impersonate staff. Support and Admin Support will have (TRL) in their names to help players identify them in the game. They will not have this in discord, but will have a different color than the other users. Any player seen with (TRL) in their names that is not staff is considered to be impersonating staff and this could lead to an immediate ban.
  26.
  27. Do not impersonate other players. If we find out that you are impersonating another player then action will be taken which can result in a permanent ban.
  28.
  29. You may announce your location to others at your own risk but you MAY NOT location drop other players. If you choose to share your location in global chat, staff will not be held liable for any losses to yourself or your party.
  30.
  31. You may not create alternate discord accounts to exploit discord currency by gambling, purchasing animals or sending currency.
  32.
  33. Rules subject to common sense
  34. ---------------------
  35. Combat starts when an attempt at a hit from an animal or grab from a croc has occurred.
  36.
  37. If during a fight and a player dies, the fight ends immediately. Please type in global/group to make sure your party and the other party may be aware that a body has dropped. Any attacks after a body drop (within reason) will be considered a rule break.
  38.
  39. • An AI does NOT count as body down to end a fight.
  40. • If a 3rd party player is killed accidentally then that still counts as a body down and combat should end.
  41. During combat you may not use water to hide or escape combat. You MAY cross water during combat and once you enter water you MUST commit to crossing water. You MAY NOT turn around and continuously sit in water.
  42.
  43. While having a body you may NOT hunt OR be hunted (without being contested). Chunks must be on the ground AND visible to count as body protection. You may pick up chunks to eat but if you are moving around with the chunks that does not give protection. 1 person from a group must stay with the body and/or chunks.
  44.
  45. Carnivores only have personal space when they have body protection. If an animal enters personal space and you want them to leave you must 3 call them away. If the person does not leave after 30 seconds you may attack them to get them to leave. If the opposing animal runs away and does NOT attack back you may NOT chase after them. If they do attack then you may finish the fight. If the animal runs away and repeatedly returns before the timer has expired please ask for help by way of an admin in game. If a group of carnivores 3 calls for personal space you MAY NOT 3 call and attack them immediately, you must follow contesting procedures.
  46.
  47. Body/Protection are identified as follows
  48.
  49. • 2 chunks or more
  50. • Medium or Large Gore
  51. • Dead Animal Body (Including AI Gazelle body)
  52. • There is a maximum of 5 chunks allowed per group, this does not include gore.
  53. You must be within 2 rhino lengths of your body to have protection. You may NOT pick up and take players out of body protection.
  54.
  55. If you leave body protection you may be hunted. If you are hunted away from protection, running back to your protection does not grant you protection again.
  56.
  57. You may NOT give away body protection unless approved by the majority of your group.
  58.
  59. You MUST stay with your body until it de-spawns unless it is a small gore.
  60.
  61. • Rotten gore may not be abandoned (unless its a small gore) You may not hide, lie or deceive about how many chunks you have.
  62.
  63. Leopards, Wild Dogs, Hyenas, Meerkats and Birds may steal chunks ONLY if the person/group you intend to steal from has more than 2 chunks. If a person/group only has 1 chunk they do not have body protection and you may take that 1 chunk.
  64.
  65. You may not remove body protection from players.
  66.
  67. • Gore is NOT included in chunk count.
  68.
  69. • Stealing is another form of contesting and opens yourself/your group up to be attacked.
  70.
  71. You may NOT get involved in a fight you were not initially in. If you are grouped up BEFORE combat starts you may join that fight at any time. However if you are not grouped with any person involved in the fight BEFORE combat starts then you may NOT join the fight and must wait until combat is over.
  72.
  73. You may not hunt multiple parties at the same time. Please communicate with your group. You must wait until your engagement with your previous target has ended before you can start to hunt another animal.
  74.
  75. Picking up other animals STARTS an engagement/combat between the two animals/groups. Once a animal is picked up you then have 1 minute to then kill the animal. If the 1 minute timer passes, you must drop it and leave it alone and then an encounter timer will start.
  76.
  77. An engagement ends after there has been no damage dealt by either party for 2 minutes. Bleed Damage counts as damage dealt.
  78.
  79. • Once an engagement ends an encounter timer begins.
  80. ---------------------
  81. Contest Definition: To challenge an opposing party that has body protection. To contest, you may 3 call the party with body protection and wait 15 seconds for them to respond.
  82.
  83. • After a fight ends if you want to contest for the body of a fallen group member you must decide to contest within 15 seconds of the body dropping.
  84. • When being contested you must reply by attacking or with a 3 call to accept or 4 call to surrender within 15 seconds of the opposing call or you can be attacked by the contesting party.
  85. • If a person or group 4 calls at any point during the contest then the contest ends and they may not be attacked, unless they stay within 2 rhino lengths of your gore/chunks after 20 seconds of submitting.
  86. • The winning group of a contest gets all the food and the losing party leaves with nothing.
  87. • Both parties may only contest once.
  88. • Either party can 2 call a body to request to share. (Sharing will void body protection for all parties.) Sharing a body gives a safety timer of 10 minutes between the 2 parties that share the food.
  89. ---------------------
  90. ENCOUNTER TIMERS
  91. 1st Encounter = 5 minutes
  92.
  93. 2nd Encounter = 10 minutes
  94.
  95. 3rd Encounter = 30 minutes
  96.
  97. 4th Encounter = 30 minutes
  98.
  99. This is to include BOTH parties. For example Group A wins against Group B. This starts a 5 minute timer. If Group B then wins against Group A, this starts a 10 minute timer. If Group A then wins against Group B, this starts a 30 minute timer.
  100.
  101. Once the 4th encounter timer has ended, encounters between both groups resets back to the 1st encounter.
  102.
  103. Stalking or following a player/group during a timer is not allowed. This will be considered targeting and is NOT tolerated.
  104. ---------------------
  105. NATURAL DEFENSES & ADVANTAGES
  106. A natural defense is a place of safety where animals may NOT be attacked for any reason. You are allowed to retreat to your natural defense to escape a fight ONLY if you are not going to die.
  107.
  108. Natural Defenses are as follows:
  109.
  110. • Trees: Leopards and Birds
  111. • Underground Burrows/Tunnels: Meerkats
  112. • Dens: Hyenas, Wild Dogs, Rabbits
  113. • Crocodile Nest: For Baby and Juvenile Crocs ONLY (Must be within 1 Rhino Length)
  114. • Meerkat: Logs and Stumps Birds (Shoebill etc): Nests (Must be within 1 rhino length.)
  115. A Natural Advantage is a place where an animal may retreat to but they are not completely safe, they may be attacked but know you are at a disadvantage attacking there.
  116.
  117. Natural Advantages are as follows: Water: Crocodiles and Hippopotamus Rocks: Any animal with a jump mechanic or can land on them by flying (meerkats do not have a jump).
  118.
  119. Animals with a jump mechanic may use a rock to escape a fight, however other animals with a jump mechanic may follow you and continue combat on that rock if they can reach you. (ex: if you are a leopard that jumps on a rock that a lioness may also jump onto, you are not protected.)
  120.
  121. Animals WITHOUT a jump mechanic may not go onto rocks for any reason (ex: a croc may not climb onto a rock to grab another animal.) Fallen trees are an exception and any animal may use them.
  122. ---------------------
  123. HERBIVORE AGGRESSION
  124. Herbivores may NOT hunt other animals.
  125.
  126. Herbivores may ONLY attack in self-defense of themselves or their group members.
  127.
  128. Herbivores have a personal space to an area of 2 rhino lengths in all directions. However if a herbivore approaches another animal they forfeit that personal space.
  129.
  130. Herbivores without babies or juvies must 3 call predators away from your space and give them 10 seconds to leave.
  131.
  132. Herbivores with a baby or juvenile may attack immediately without 3 calling if an animal comes within 2 rhino lengths of the child.
  133.
  134. • The baby or juvie may also attack first.
  135. • If the animal that entered personal space does NOT attack back AND leaves personal space you may NOT chase after them
  136. Herbivores may not claim others’ space as their own as an excuse to attack them.
  137.
  138. Herbivores may chase after a party if they were attacked at any point.
  139. ---------------------
  140. Targeting
  141.
  142. • You may NOT actively follow/watch the same player/group with the intent to kill them during an encounter timer.
  143.
  144. • You may not leave a group to relog and kill them.
  145.
  146. • You may not knowingly kill the same player/group repeatedly.
  147.
  148. Revenge Killing
  149.
  150. • You may not change animals or respawn to fight/kill a group that just killed you.
  151.
  152. Spawn Killing
  153.
  154. • When you first spawn in, every player is granted a 3 minute “safety timer”.
  155.
  156. • You can NOT be attacked within the first 3 minutes of spawning.
  157.
  158. • The safety timer is voided if the animal that spawned attacks first.
  159.
  160. • Each person must have video evidence to report spawn killing.
  161.
  162. Self/Group Feeding
  163.
  164. • You, a party member or a friend may NOT drop a body for your group in order to receive body protection.
  165.
  166. Faking Friendly
  167.
  168. • 2 calls are considered a friendly act.
  169.
  170. • If both parties initiate a friendly act then both groups start a 10 minute safety timer with each other.
  171.
  172. • If only one party initiates a friendly act then the party ONLY has a friendly timer (10 minutes) with the group they 2 called.
  173.
  174. • If the opposing group who did NOT 2 call back attacks you are allowed to defend yourself.
  175.
  176. • If you birth in by a person or group you are immediately given at 10 minute safety timer. If you intentionally try and get the baby killed by any means then this will be considered faking friendly. This timer only applies with the person/group you are birthed from.
  177.
  178. If a player leaves a group you are apart of, both the player that left and the rest of the group they left have a friendly 10 minute timer. If the player that left the group joins another group the entire group they joined also have the 10minute friendly timer with the group they left.
  179.
  180. Body Denial
  181.
  182. • You may not die somewhere inaccessible to the other party.
  183.
  184. • This includes natural advantages and/or natural defences. (Water, rocks, trees, dens)
  185.
  186. • You may not combat log or accept a birth invite to avoid death. Water Guarding
  187.
  188. •You may NOT deny access to water to other animals by 3 calling or attacking them. Every animal has a right to water. (Crocodiles may attack from the water, they are not guarding if they are trying to hunt you.)
  189.
  190. • Water guarding does not mean you can’t be hunted while drinking water.
  191.
  192. MIXPACKING & THIRD PARTYING
  193. Animals may co-exist together but you may NOT help another species or group you are not a part of in combat.
  194.
  195. You may NOT hide inside another animal/group to avoid being hunted.
  196.
  197. You may not attack a group that is already in an engagement.
  198. ---------------------
  199. GLITCHES AND LOOPHOLES
  200. Water Glitch
  201.
  202. • You can NOT use the water glitch for any reason. This is when your animal runs underwater instead of swimming. You must re-log immediately to fix this.
  203.
  204. Meshing
  205.
  206. • You may NOT glitch or mesh yourself into rocks, trees, mountains or any other scenery.
  207.
  208. • Animals are allowed to mesh inside each other only if they are within the same group. No
  209.
  210. Jumping in Combat
  211.
  212. • The only time you may jump during combat is to get into or onto a natural defense/advantage or a(one) jump over water.
  213.
  214. You may also not switch animals to avoid being stuck with a gore or chunks.
  215.
  216. Any attempt to find or use loopholes in the rules will result in a strike or ban.
