- * Fixed missing name on Nether Bomb (placed by Altar of Chaos)
- * Forsaken: The unit is marked as Good vs M on the card but didnt
- behave in this way. Instead of dealing more damage vs M-sized creatures
- it dealt more damage vs S-sized creatures. This bug has been fixed by
- adjusting the real Weapon Type to M as displayed on the card
- (performance is influenced unit will now deal more damage against M)

- You will now be able to request/show a deck from/to another player. A
- window will open where you can have a look of the cards contained in
- the players current deck. Additionally deck name, decklevel and the
- cardpool type (tutorial, general or limited deck) will be revealed.
- New PvE campaign has been released, starting with the two maps Blight
- and Mo.
- Improved auction mails. Auction mails do now contain information about
- the card being traded and about BF-Points when the auction is won, sold
- or outbid.
- Player versus Player
- Map: Wazhai a power well position was corrected so it can longer be
- claimed from the cliff in the northeast
- Map: Uro orb and power well positions have been adjusted to not be so
- prone to claiming from cliffs
- Player versus Environment
- Two new PvE maps released for new campaign: Blight and Mo.
- Blight
- This four player map sees the Skylords freeing enslaved prisoners from
- the fire people. Moon believes that the scattered and leaderless fire
- tribes need the help of the Skylords, but her intervention resurrects
- an old evil. Here we meet Captain Shane Blight, an insane pirate
- captain willing to sacrifice anyone or anything to take his revenge on
- Mo, the white Juggernaut, to whom he lost an eye in an old struggle.
- Mo
- This single player map follows the White Juggernaut Mo as he embarks on
- the search for his only friend, Twinaxe. His journey takes him to the
- wasteland border, where he finds out that his friend and comrades might
- have been taken as slaves by wasteland bandits. But as he meets a
- strange, flying pig and black pirate ships under a red raven flag, he
- knows that he is going to be drawn into a much grander tale as an old
- arch enemy is back to hunt him.

- and the minimum heal amout of this ability was raised to 1000.
- * Cannon Tower - Added missing information about Knockback. The tower
- is able to knock back small units which wasn't mentioned before (only
- affects loca, no impact on performance)!

- * Fixed crash on Mo map caused by a PvE unitspecial.
- * The deck level calculation also takes promo cards into account. Note:
- Decks need to get re-saved for an updated deck level.
- * Server status tooltip window is now always fully visible in the
- Bootstrapper. No need for window repositioning to read the text.
- * Translation of the server status tooltip window is now correctly

- General
- BattleForge goes Play4Free. You can now get access to the full
- BattleForge game world without having to enter a serial key. This
- includes all community features, upgrades, scenarios, ranked duels and
- 2 decks. To be able to trade away cards or BattleForge Points, you can
- unlock the full trade features either through reaching rank 4 in PvE or
- Rank 10 in PvP or by entering a serial key. Players that already played
- the demo can keep using these accounts. Their decks have been exchanged
- with the new decks and the rewards and campaign progress gained in the
- demo version is still available.
- It's now possible to sort the auctions. They can be sorted by price,
- period of time, auction type, or the name of the auction item.
- You are now able to discard upgrades and / or charges from your card.
- Discarded upgrades get destroyed; charges are added back to your card
- collection.
- Cards
- Card Balancing: Watchlist Card Magma Spores increased Special cost 30
- -> 50
- Card Portal Nexus: Fixed a bug where the game crashed when trying to
- use the Portal and the Portal Exit is already shut down.
- User Interface
- New UI flow: After buying a tome in the marketplace, it will be
- automatically registered afterwards if possible. When the registration
- process has been completed you will be directly forwarded to the
- "Create New Deck" Screen where you can create a new Tome deck.

- Engine Improvement: Improved memory management performance

- Server issues and population caps
- Due to load issues on Sunday and Monday we had to reduce the available
- slots for players that have not fully unlocked the game, yet. We spent
- the last days analyzing the server behavior and plan to deploy a fix
- for that with this patch which will address the identified underlying
- issues. This patch should allow us to increase the slots for Play 4
- Free players again significantly.

- Ranked Duels have been adjusted to provide up to two and half times
- more gold. The rewards in Tome Format have also been increased and
- provide twice as much gold compared to Collection Format.

- * The new PvE campaign continues with the PvE map Convoy
- * The new rewards, the Upgrade 3s for common cards, will be available
- in PvE on all maps of the new campaign in expert mode.
- Cards
- * Card Balancing: Summoned Nightcrawlers have now upgrade values
- according to the normal card. (DPTS 745 -> 640, 680, 745), Summoned

- * It is now possible to right click on a chat line to bring up the

- * Made keyboard navigation in the Bootstrapper a bit easier

- * Level 3 upgrades are now available for uncommon cards
- * Waypoints are available now:
- - SHIFT + Goto Command: Scout - Units will RUN to the waypoints and
- don't care if there are enemies nearby or if they are being attacked.
- They will stop if they reach the last waypoint.
- - CTRL + Goto Command: Crusade - Units will RUN to the waypoints and
- will attack nearby enemies. If they are alive after the fight, they
- will continue running to the next waypoint. They will stop if they
- reach the last waypoint.
- - ALT + Goto Command: Patrol - Units will WALK back and forth all
- waypoints and will attack nearby enemies. If they are still alive after
- the fight, they will continue walking back and forth the created
- waypoints.
- In all three cases up to 10 Waypoints can be created. The units will
- stop running / walking towards the next waypoint if they get another
- command.
- * 2vs2 PvP matchmaking now uses bracketing, matching teams of equal
- strength if available
- Player versus Player
- * New 2vs2 PvP map: Koshan released
- The center of the Koshan region is heavily populated with monuments,
- allowing four Skylords to start out right next to each other. From then
- on, this 2v2 scenario offers a lot of choice how to proceed. Will you
- quickly attack your nearby opponent, raise the walls and defend while
- expanding or will you abandon your starting area altogether and
- disappear into the canyon maze in the outer reaches of the map to form
- a new, uncontested foothold there?
- Player versus Environment
- * New one player PvE map: Oracle released
- * Siege of Hope - The Twilight Dragon attacks have been slightly
- adjusted in expert mode to allow more time to prepare.
- * Dwarven Riddle - In the Advanced difficulty setting, the bandit
- spawns build up more slowly and the Bandit Gunner squads have been
- removed from the smallest attack waves
- * Convoy - The Stonekin Warlord should now have his health managed
- properly, the expert mode should prove a little more challenging
- * Map: Soultree - Viridya's freeze spells should now trigger more
- reliably in expert mode
- Cards
- * Balancing adjustment to watch list card Wildfire: the spell has now a
- minimum distance of 15m that it definitely has to cover. It now deals
- 18 damage to structures and 72 to units (up to 144) on Upgrade 2.
- * Bug fix: Mindweaver: Units that are temporarily mind controlled by
- Mindweaver can no longer be sacrificed or turned into a bomb.
- * Bug fix: Promo Razorleaf: The damage value given on the card was not
- consistent with standard Razorleaf's damage value and thus has now been
- adjusted to 300 (instead of 700) because the two of them should be
- identical on Upgrade 2. Only affects the visible value and has no
- impact on performance!
- * Bug fix: Deepcoil Worm - The damage value given on the card was too
- high. Actually, the unit only deals 3150 damage and not 3450 (on
- Upgrade 2). The value on the card has been adjusted for all upgrade
- levels. This only affects the displayed value and has no impact on
- performance!
- * Bug fix: Silverwind Lancers: The unit is not knockback resistant!
- Incorrect information about this in its card description has been
- removed. Only affects the text and has no impact on performance!
- User Interface
- * Fixed world targeting spells (eruption, etc.) snapping to squads when
- hovering over an ingame healthbar. This avoids mistargeting of
- mentioned spells.

- The Renegade Card Edition is available.
- The marketplace now offers Renegade boosters.
- Tomes now grant the equivalent of 3 Renegade and 3 Twilight boosters.
- The map unlocking system was adjusted, making higher difficulty levels
- available as soon as a map is cleared on the standard level
- General Balancing
- Buildings now take 50% longer to build unless they are placed within
- 30m of a friendly monument or generator.
- The costs for the 4th monument have been reduced from 400 to 300.
- Cards
- Bug fix - Unholy Hero: On upgrade level 2 this spell did not distribute
- the damage done to the target to surrounding entities. This has now
- been fixed.
- Bug fix - Darkelf Assassins: The description of Bow Attack has been
- updated. The unit fires arrows every 2.5 seconds and not once per
- second as stated previously. This just affects the description and has
- no impact on performance!
- Bug fix - Home Soil, Lyrish Knight, Ice Guardian, White Rangers: walls
- will no longer count as sufficient entities to trigger the buffs or
- special abilities connected to any of those cards.
- Buildings, orbs or power wells have to be nearby to make these
- abilities/buffs available.
- Bug fix - Wheel of Gifts: When activating Gift of Juvenescence several
- times the resulting regeneration abilities used to stack infinitely.
- This has now been fixed: with proper timing one may still trigger the
- Gift several times but only one regeneration ability will be actively
- applied.
- Player versus Player
- PvP sparring grounds now allow the selection of random generated maps
- for 1vs1 and 2vs2.
- The ELO/Ranking system has been reworked. Additional information is
- displayed to make the system more transparent. Known issue: The score
- might be displayed incorrectly (too high) after the first tome match
- after login. This affects only the displayed, but not the stored value.
- Bug Fixes
- Map Slavemaster: Units with slow movement speed attacked by the Slave
- Master will no longer gain additional speed as soon as Slave Master's
- debuff runs out.

- Big fix: Corsair, Battleship, Spitfire, Howling Shrine: Some entities
- have several cannons or turrets shooting independently of each other at
- different targets. For those buildings or units it could sometimes
- happen that all cannons or turrets focused on only one target although
- their individual ankles should only allow them to cover a certain
- range. This has now been fixed: an entity with several independent
- autocasts will no longer track the same enemy with all its cannons or
- turrets.
- Big fix: Earthen Gift, Nature Affinity: The card description was not
- translated correctly. Buildings affected by this spell deal more damage
- which has not been mentioned. The French and German card texts have now
- been updated accordingly. This just affects the description and has no
- impact on performance!
- Bug fix: Northstar: The card description stated that units within
- Northstar's aura stay frozen twice as long as usually. Actually, the
- freeze time is just increased by 25% which has now been corrected in
- the text. This just affects the description and has no impact on
- performance!
- Bug fix: Rageflame: Stone Warrior's Shatter Lance did not work on units
- frozen by Rageflame. This has now been fixed and the two abilities may
- be combined as intended.
- Bug fix: Aggressor: In German, French and Russian the card description
- did not mention that this unit is able to knock back large creatures.
- The missing information has now been added. This just affects the
- description and has no impact on performance!
- Bug fix: Spirit Hunters: The descriptions of Tainted and Gifted Bow
- Attack were not correctly translated. The French and German
- translations have now been updated and the formerly missing information
- about the arrow's poisonous effects has been added. This just affects
- the description and has no impact on performance!
- Bug fix: Bandit Stalker: Fixed missing texts on its upgrade cards.
- Bug fix Corsair: On the upgrade cards a wrong name for its special
- ability was displayed. "Infused Gravity Surge" has now been replaced by
- the correct name "Gifted Assistance". This just affects the description
- and has no impact on performance.
- Bug fix: Amok, Shadow Affinity: while affected by this spell units are
- no longer controllable by the player.
- Bug fix: Mind Control: Units temporarily controlled by Amazon or
- Mindweaver are now immune against further mind-controlling attacks
- while still under the influence of Amazon or Mindweaver.
- Player versus Player
- Random generated PvP maps now also appear in ranked games (30%
- probability).

- * Bug fix: Matter Mastery: When taking control over a Healing Well, the
- building now heals own and allied units instead of enemies.
- * Bug fix: Matter Mastery - Nature Affinity: The decrease in power cost
- displayed by the card upgrades to this card was too high. Actually, the
- power costs are decreased by 5 (Up1) and 10 (Up2). The upgrade card
- description has now been corrected. This has now impact on performance!

- * Animations and effects were incorrect, when an orb at a starting
- position was not claimed by the player allocated to that position, but

- Added /roll [n] chat command to generate random value in group chat.
- [n] is optional and defines the max. random value. Default is 100.
- Placing Buildings: When holding ctrl+mousewheel, it is now possible to
- correctly rotate a building before placement.
- Cards
- Bug fix: Cards able to deal more damage against frozen units did not
- work correctly any more since the last patch. They either did not deal
- the expected amount of damage or did not correctly buff other entities
- to deal more damage against frozen units. This has now been fixed. The
- following affected cards will now be functional again as indicated in
- their descriptions: Rageflame (Frost Affinity), Core Dredge (Both
- Affinites), Deepgorge (Fire Affinity), Northstar (Both Affinities).
- Bug fix: Cards in stand ground-mode do not get knocked down from walls
- by cards like hurricane anymore (the "burrower" is still stable able to
- do so)
- Bug fix: Crystal Fiend: On some upgrade levels this unit casted its
- heal aura incorrectly on the same target multiple times. This has been
- corrected.
- Bug fix: Amazon: The Amazon now gets regular damage from god spells
- (due to a bug this unit only received 75%)
- Bloodhorn: Added missing sounds on death, when dying, the unit is not
- breathing anymore

- * Improved performance, especially on large maps with many units.
- * Website store: Some purchases in some product/currency constellations
- led to the error message "The unit price is not valid for the given
- currency". This has been corrected and all products can now be

- Card-Playout of Units: A new tooltip has been implemented that

- position. The tool-tip is directly attached to the courser and will
- help to distinguish between areas that allow units to be spawned

- Added dual color card filters for Frost/Shadow and Fire/Nature to the
- Auction House interface.
- Changed the behavior of the Auction House dual color filters: Selecting
- a dual color card filter will show only dual color cards matching the
- filter and not cards with just one of the selected colors anymore.
- Auction house: Reworked the single color card filters: Selecting the
- Fire filter will show only fire cards, and no dual color cards
- containing fire. The same goes for all other colors.
- Added a card color filter for colorless (neutral) cards.
- Cards
- Retreating Circle: The spell is supposed to teleport own and friendly
- units to the next monument of their owner respectively. Instead,
- friendly units were teleported to the nearest monument of the player
- casting the spell. This has now been fixed and as of now every affected
- unit will be transported to a monument of its own player.
- Infernal Chain: Once the chain has been established it will last no
- longer than 20 seconds even if caster and target stay close enough to
- each other all the time. The information about the limited duration has
- been missing in French and German descriptions but has now been added.
- This only affects the text and has no impact on performance!
- Vileblood + Mutating Maniac: Both units only trigger their special
- abilities when being transformed but not upon dying. The descriptions
- have been misleading as they mentioned both death and transformation as
- a trigger for their abilities. This has now been fixed but affects only

- Lost Souls Revenants: In a former beta patch the life time of all
- Revenants has already been increased from 20 to 25 seconds.

- - Northern Keep: The buildings special ability allows friendly units to
- seek cover around it. Unfortunately, it also prevented some of the
- affected friendly units from correctly executing their own specials
- which lead to some exploits: units such as Nightcrawler, Skeleton
- Warriors, Bandit Sorceress and more that are supposed to vanish or die
- while or after performing a special, remained unaffectedly in the game
- instead or, as in the case of Bandit Sorceress, could even be
- duplicated. The issue has now been addressed by slightly reworking the
- tower: instead of rendering affected units entirely invisible it will
- now absorb all damage they take. This should fix any bugs or exploits
- that have been reported for this building.
- - Bandit Sorceress: The units special ability can no longer be executed
- on buildings that are still under construction. This change addresses
- several issues that occurred when the unit entered buildings under
- construction and thus accidently rendered them useless.

- - You can sign a PvE match as Speedrun in the matchmaking screen to

- Random PvE Speedrun is only possible if Map of the Month has been

- Character Creation
- - Character names can consist of up to 16 characters, inlcuding

- - The maximum number of BattleForge characters per account is now one.

- Worldmap
- - The meaning of the path arrows between PvE maps has been changed:
- Yellow paths lead to maps that are unlocked, red path means that the
- map is locked and not yet playable.
- - All maps are shown on the Worldmap now, regardless whether they are
- locked or have been hidden by the difficulty dropdown box before.
- - Hovering the cursor over a locked PvE map shows which maps you have
- to master first in order to unlock this map.
- - The dropdown box for pre-selecting PvE difficulty has been removed.
- Cheater Handling
- - Banned characters are shown as such in character selection after
- login.
- - Matches are shown in the PvE rankings now after they have checked for
- use of cheats.*
- User Interface
- - Buttons leading directly to EA Customer Support and BattleForge web
- forums have been added to the ingame news screen.
- - You can tab through the fields in the Create Auction window
- now.*Hitting Space when the Create Auction button is focused will
- create the auction.
- Performance Improvements
- Logging in, buying and opening Boosters should be faster now.

- - Ripper:*Damage increased from 720 to 840
- - Spitfire:*Power costs decreased from 300 to 220
- - White Rangers:**Active Special costs reduced from 25 to 10. Active
- Special now deals half damage against buildings. Damage increased from
- 9/10/11/13 to 8/10/12/14. Unit costs reduced from 80 to 70.
- - Kobold Trick / Glacier Shell:*Buildings affected by Glacier Shell are
- immune to Kobold Trick for 30sec
- - Voidstorm:*Now requires 3 Shadow Orbs (from 2 Shadow Orbs plus 1
- Neutral Orb)
- - Lost Vigil:*Reduced the damage near friendly structures from 180 (270
- total) to 135 (200 total). Healing effect of nature affinity reduced
- from 25 per second to 18 per second.

- User Interface
- - A glitch where the card list was scrolled down showing no cards with
- activated card filters has been fixed.
- - The error message when trying to trade a nontradeable card has been
- refined.
- - A bug which allowed to trade a nontradeable card while being ready
- for a match has been fixed.
- User Generated Maps
- The health bar of a unit that has been manipulated
- with*DoCmdScriptEntityHealthSetMaxAbsolute() is no longer screwed up.

- If units were sent into a Decomposer before Second Chance was active
- they were sacrificed even if Second Chance was active in the moment of
- sacrifice. This was fixed.
- Bugfixes
- A bug in the character selection was fixed. The last character you have
- logged into the game with the last time is now pre-selected properly.
- A bug in the auction house was fixed. The pre-set duration when
- creating auctions was shown as long although the actual duration was
- medium. Now the time shown and the time used are properly set to long
- by default.
- A bug in the rankings was fixed. It showed more pages than there were
- available when switching between rankings with a different amount of
- entries.

- 3vs3 Open Beta
- The all-new 3 versus 3 game mode has been added to the game. To access
- this mode ingame log into your account, go to the world map and chose
- Sparring Grounds. There you can either choose the Generated Sparring
- Ground 3vs3 or the new version of Gorgash. If you want to give us any
- feedback on this new PvP mode, please do so in our forums at

- Single Card Booster
- The single card booster now has the chance to contain common and
- uncommon Amii cards. Chances to get a card out of the latest card
- edition is equal to getting one out of the old editions.
- High resolution textures
- High resolution textures are now accessible for everyone. You can find
- the option to download them in the BattleForge Bootstrapper in the
- Optional Components tab.
- Map editor
- You now have the possibility to create your own 3vs3 maps with the
- editor.
- Restriction to only use PvE entities has been removed.
- You can create a random map by importing your own heightmap now.
- Cards
- Backlash
- The damage against buildings has been halfed.
- The damage per target has been decreased from 50% to 33%
- Treespirit
- Gifted Thorns/Tainted Thorns: The damage has been reduced from 160 (240
- maximum) to 120 (180 maximum).
- Lifepoints have been increased from 510/540/600/660 to 680/720/800/880.
- Nature affinity: Poison damage has been decreased from 15 damage per
- second to 10 damage per second.
- Nasty Surprise
- Damage cap has been lowered from 10.000 to 3.000.
- Lost Reaver
- Lifepoints have been reduced from 1650 to 1500.
- Infused Mob/Tainted Mob: The energy costs for the special ability have
- been increased from 0 to 20 but can now be cast anytime without having
- to target an enemy.
- Timeless One
- Energy costs have been increased from 50 to 55.
- Frozen Stasis: Energy costs have been increased from 0 to 10.
- Soulshatter
- Damage against buildings has been halfed.
