  1.  Okay, I'm gon na go to Lowe's and try out the craftsman warranty. This is the craftsman. This is like a 15 year old set. I got like the old mechanic set. This is the u.s.a ku4 for 8:07 quarter inch ratchet. So i did a review on my gearwrench versus Matco. This was included in there, but after thinking about it, I'm like well, I just did all these warranty review videos on Matco, snap-on and Mac, and you know craftsman, one of the most American iconic tool brands. Never even taking this in for warranty might as well. The mechanism on this was junk. I'Ve never taken anything apart. You know as a mechanic how many things have I fixed and never even taking this apart to fix it. So why is this skipping so bad? So I think that the newer nicer ones have an o-ring in here no o-ring just dirt and grime teeth got some tactic grease on here. Well, here's the push-button mechanism and guys that big difference between this one and the older and the newer ones is look at the teeth on that Paul, there's only two little tiny teeth that are supposed to catch. I don't know if changing this house gon na do anything so this one mechanism on this is just a little ball banger in there flips back and forth, then you've got two teeth that are grabbing a 36 tooth count on the other piece but yeah. This was not, I don't know if change that's, how it's gon na do any good, maybe just cleaning the UPS. All it really needs, but I don't know I don't really want to mess with it, we'll see if they warranty it. There'S something wrong with those teeth. Teeth. Look fine! I mean I don't. I have this rat to just be just so full of crap. That'S just sticking I mean I don't think that well, maybe these around it off. Well, I guess I got that Matt Cosette, let's go compared to that. Matt, go sad, spicy, a bad comparison and we've got this. Is an 88 gon na be a huge difference in teeth we got 36 tooth versus 88 tooth Matt go versus craftsman. This craftsman has the push button and the Matco does not. I mean look at that. The Paul difference. Look at the tooth engagement panels teeth. So you got to think agent, you know how that was you and in comparison to the two teeth that just weren't weren't doing it justice on this guy. I'Ve got to go to Lowe's to get a key cut, got ta, get this key cut that I just did for the Toyota. 4Runner so might as well. Take this in and see if they will warranty this. https://felixfurniture.com/best-rotary-tool/ said something about if, if it's not doing that, the job was intended to do to bring it in foreign t and then they'll change it out. That'S the craftsmen's website says: Lowe's is one of their their authorized partners or whatever so I'll. Take it into Lowe's and see if they take care of us will get a key cut at the same time, we'll be at least give them some business. I'M not a big blows fan usually got a Home Depot, will try to take the cellphone and get some footage of it as well. Yes, I'll do the same thing back and forth back and forth I'll catch. It got [, Music, ], oh good! Thank you! [! Music ] [, Music, ], [, Music, ] how's, it going you said, like $ 100 toolset, mechanics, toolset, okay, yes, I don't mind, but you had a carrying case. Everything alright have a landscape business, so I thought it'd be nice to have in the trailer to work on stuff out in the mountain about drip on it. You got a lifetime interesting, okay, yeah chopping around pretty good deal hundred dollars off [ Music ]. I didn't have one question for you: you got old, quarter-inch craftsman ratchet. How does that warranty return, but ratcheting mechanism on it doesn't catch any more. Take that to service deafness. Just swap you out, even with that one. Okay cups, a timer on it perfect. My keys here, okay, oh yeah, I've got a picture. I'Ve actually got the chip, so this key broke and I bought a new set. I just need to have a cut, they won't. Let'S do it. Oh really! Won'T you. It'S got a buy one. There they've got ta have a barcode right. You party love, you have to buy the key in order to get it well. I wanted to see if I could swap out this craftsman ratchet and also I need to pick up these lights. The guy down the hardware said they were the same: the ratchet yeah, it doesn't catch any more yeah here. Thank you. You, too, hey just got back from Lowe's. Here'S that new craftsman ratchet that gave me the guy and service is really helpful. Handed me this one. So take it to service and they'll, swap you out. I did just that. Obviously, no more greasy rhyming this one go ahead and take this apart and see if the inside looking better. I guess before we do that tried to get it on camera at the store, but this has a lot of play in that head right. There I feel, like this is deeper as well. I'M not exactly sure if that's true or not Cameron died hold that snap ring out, go ahead and pull this mechanism out see if it's any better than our last one. So is this any better I mean the teeth are less used, but they they're about the same amount of roundness. Get our fall here. Piece in there says quarter-inch. I don't think the old one did say that the teeth any better on this one they might be. It'S hard to say getting what kind of compare footage and see what it looked like before and after this one does seem to work better sure which way just went home well. This is my first time really getting into a ratchet, so those will be good practice for that rebuild I'm doing with the gearwrench really easier than I expected it to be getting as mechanic. I probably should have you know if I'm able to work on a car see. I worked on my own tools, but you know when you have a lifetime warranty like all these tool. Manufacturers claim you should feel just take it and get it fixed. You know it's probably not worth their time to fix it. This mechanism, for whatever reason, does work better as far as visual differences there there's not many. I don't remember my other one doing that. I think that's a new thing. Yeah I used to pull out before it would like to spin around definitely works better. I don't like how far I wish that sock. It would seat they're better like that chefs, except really far, but warranty process lows with the craftsman. Pretty freakin easy honestly walked and walked out. I went in the morning on Saturday. It wasn't crazy busy. Our story really starts to get busy around 10 o'clock so going before the rush most Lowe's and Home Depot's are opening like 6:00 a.m. so go and early take care of it before things get busy and before the employees are exhausted and frustrated for the day. Ride. Bike craftsman for their warranty - I don't know if I'd buy it for the quality. This. I think this is a Chinese version. They do have a newer Taiwan version, which shows actually seems pretty nice had a higher tooth count. This is still the old 36 tooth counts that I'm getting the same old crap in return, and they wanted like 20 bucks. For this thing, which is ridiculous, I think online. I found this for seven eight dollars new and I think the rebuild kit for this was like 12 13 bucks, so at 20, bucks, okay, that revealed kill, might be worth it, but with a warranty, why is anybody giving a rebuild kit and who's buying this stuff? For 20 bucks, but you could buy better quality brands for 20 bucks somewhere else. I mean I got that Yi wrench set for 65 bucks for 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive craftsman. Is it worth it? Maybe if you buy a set, probably not buying them individually. Sounds like a waste of money, but it's all I got for this video we'll see you on the next one gon na put this in my pocket, see how well this works doing to lose yeah. I need a need, a replacement this you
