Reason #1-Kids
When you have children, you are very careful about the kinds of video games you get and play.
They have to be kid safe. No violent games full of crime, death or suicide. I also was not going to buy any mind numbingly boring games that did not teach anything for my kids. We were always on the lookout for fun and interesting games, which are hard to find on some game systems.
As the children was raised so did the sophistication of the overall game consoles and games. Most of us want the most recent and greatest without compromising our standards. That is definitely human nature.
Reason #2-Complication Factor
The daughter and I both liked games which were fun to play rather than so complicated to learn. You understand, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot.
We did not just like the death, die, and kill kind with one exception, Halo. We bought an X-box system if they first arrived. We spent some happy hours together playing Crash.
As time continued, we thought about obtaining a different system though so we would have a wider variety of games to play. A lot of the games for the X-box are simply too violent for us but we did have the guys in our family to think about and now in my opinion there is no decision. The Wii is the strategy to use. It has something for everybody.
Us girls like games that aren't too hard to play. A few of the games out there require a rocket scientist to learn all of the controls before you can enjoy playing them. I never want to work that hard when relaxing with a game.
The boys were the opposite. The more complicated the higher they liked them. Some people say you will find a correlation between the kind of sports you like and the sort of video gaming you play. I disagree. I love hockey, baseball and horseracing but do not like to play those forms of video games.
Reason #3-Need
People may feel the need for some excitement within their lives so that they play the fantasy and role-playing kind of video games. Their very own reality needs improvement or maybe they want some status or power that they do not have in true to life.
https://iron-fall.com/ benefit from the games but I really think that for some, it is because they have no life beyond them.
Of course I am talking about the people that play for hours at a time to the exclusion of most else, not the casual gamer. I personally would rather be outside playing with my GPS unit while doing some Geocaching. Oh wait, that may be an addiction also! I guess we are all addicted to one kind of game or another.
