It's simple to use and appears to be very secure. It's also accessible and can be downloaded from any location with internet connectivity. What happens if WiFi or another internet connection is unavailable? I love to have my laptop near by for those moments. It is my last protection against data loss. They are connected as an RAID stack, in order to copy each other and make sure that a backup is left in case one of the HDDs fails. Because I rarely copy my laptop's contents the laptop, I've designed it so that 2 drives don't get separated at once.

5. A few months ago, the other big day of sadness was. As I mentioned above I take care not to lose any of my work. I now copy the same file multiple times and make it available wherever internet access is available. It was Periscope. I used it a lot several years ago, and even this last summer 2020 during riots I did a few live streams.. And all of an sudden Periscope TV is closing, and all videos will disappear in just two weeks. What should I do? I'm required to download the entire video to be able to store them offline on my laptop. Those videos are very important for me. I was there with my friend when he disappeared off the radar of Covid. It seems like it was just a matter of time.

8. I browse his site and can download videos directly from Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and many other sources. I am passionately involved in politics, underground movements and so I film many times, then save them and upload them to my YouTube channel. After that, whenever the live event ends the video is saved to my laptop. This is how I operate. It lets me share videos across multiple platforms. I can share YouTube video on Facebook and upload the video on Facebook. Every video is a separate video. In fact I am able to store more than 3TB live feeds in the past 8 year. Periscope will not go away.. It is a great help to me.

10. It's as easy as. If I view the video I would like to download on Periscope, Youtube or Facebook and copy the URL using the share link. Then I visit the site for downloading videos to copy the URL, then hit the button. Within seconds, I have multiple options to download video. Periscope may not be accessible on all websites. The site is able to manage m3u8 files that other websites download for you. I go to the website for video downloaders and copy my video's URL where they want it. Then, I press the on the big button. The video isn't downloaded to my computer, it's on the internet and it plays online when player loads small fragment files each time.

12. In case you were not aware, the windows copy command is a great tool to place such fragments together to create a standard length video file. This is because of the format used by video for creating the fragments, MpegTS, also known as a transport stream. It includes all the data needed for video decoding in each of the fragments, making them independent from the stream, to allow each newcomer start streaming seamlessly. The browser can also save information because it only downloads the ones which are relevant to what you are watching. For instance, if you only view only 25 seconds of the stream the player will download only 3-4 fragments. Additionally it could download the next 1-2 fragments. This reduces the amount of download needed for viewing the stream in just 25 seconds.
