4.  The Republic of Kenya has the advantage of being host to many wonderful natural geographical features. Some of these features include, the equator, the expansive Kenyan coast with its towns, islands and beaches. The great rift Valley, Mount Kenya, Masai Mara Game reserve and the Lake Victoria are some of the most spectacular places you may want to see.
5.  1. The Kenyan Coast is a perfect reflection of the unique cultural heritage derived from the early associations with indigenous Africans, Arabs, European traders and settlers. Some of the symbols reflecting these relationship such as the Fort Jesus and the town of Lamu are still standing today. The coast is also home vast areas of natural white sand beaches that stretch from Mombasa to Lamu, Kenya's oldest town in the north.
6.  Some of the most spectacular and must see places on the Kenyan coast include; Lamu - The oldest town in Kenya. This town has maintained its appearance for centuries. The only means of transport here are donkeys, boats and dhow. Malindi - Dates back to the 13th century, according reliable records kept by the Arabs and dates on the pottery that has so far been excavated. This town has a 7km long white sand beach and many colorful fish that can be seen from boats. One could also enjoy the spectacular formations made by the fish while snorkeling on the warm waters.
7.  2. The Great Rift Valley is a critical landmark specific to the African people. It was formed by subterranean forces that split the earth crust through a process referred to as rifting. The process created great volcanic mountains, while great lakes emerged on the floor. The effects of the forces are still evident today as some of the volcano are still active while others are semi active. There are so many boiling springs such as those from Lake Baringo and Lake Bogoria, while alkaline lakes include lake Nakuru, lake Elementaita and lake Magadi.
8.  3. Mount Kenya is the most important source of water for the over 2 Million Nairobi City residents and its environment. The water comes from the many streams emanating from the mountain slopes. It is the catchment area for River Tana and River Ewaso Nyiro, the longest rivers in Kenya. Mt. Kenya is also a significant source of foreign exchange from tourism. While climbing and hiking the mountain, tourists are treated to a fantastic flora fauna and temperature that changes with the altitude.
9.  4. The Masai Mara game reserve is one of Kenya's most expansive game conservatory. It extends from the Serengeti National Park and Game Reserve in Tanzania. Each year, over 1.5 wildebeest cross the border to Masai Mara in search of grass. Wild animals involved in this spectacular wildebeest migration include, hundreds of wildebeest, zebra, antelope and gazelle. The big five (lion, rhino, elephant, leopard, buffalo) are easily spotted in this reserve.
10.  5. Lake Victoria is the largest fresh water lake in Africa and also in East Africa. The lake, which is shared by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania is the source of river Nile. Fishing by the local people is the major activity in this lake. Fish got from the lake is sold to other towns around the country.
