  1. Hi, i am Mete Selim Ispirli and  today i will tell you where i live. I live in the Baltalimanı neighborhood of Sarıyer district, Sarıyer is a district of Istanbul. Our house is in the  middle of neighborhood. Our neighborhood is small compared to other neighborhoods but  there are some good things too. For example, there is a japanese garden after 200 meters from my house. This place was made after the city agreement is signed in 2003. There is a football field right next to it also a hospital in front of the garden. This hospital was actually built by the grand vizier Reşit Paşa as a palace, in the 19th century but later converted into a hospital by government. There is a mosque next to our house like in most neighborhoods. And there is a high school, the name of this high school is Behçet Kemal Çağlar. Right next to this high school is Sarıyer District National education directorate. To give more information about our neighborhood. The name Baltalimanı comes from the Ottoman trade agreement signed with the United Kingdom on 16 August  1838. This name was given to our neighborhood by Kaptan-ı Derya Baltacıoğlu Süleyman Bey, who was the head of the Ottoman navy during the reign of Fatih Sultan Mehmet, has given.  Let's talk a little bit about Sarıyer district, where my neighborhood is located. Sarıyer is one of the districts on the European side of the city consisting of 35 neighborhoods. Surrounded by Beşiktaş, Kağıthane and Eyüp, Sarıyer district is a highly preferred district. It lost its status as a district in 2009 and regained the status of a district after the inclusion of the neighborhoods within the borders of Şişli to Sarıyer in 2012. Although the rich part of the city is said to reside, the population of Sarıyer has been largely due to a population growth rate since 1965. Although almost all of the residents complain about the traffic noise, they still say that they cannot leave this district and thus there is no decrease in the population number. Places to visit in Sarıyer: Emirgan Grove, Tarabya Grove, Sakıp Sabancı Museum. I strongly recommend you to visit these places when you come to Sarıyer.
